A hand-wrought sterling silver concho cuff, its wide face centered on a raised flower concho flanked on each side by a symmetrical arrangement of traditional stamp details and arrow accents, all worked in repoussé with bump-out details that lift the design from the surface. A fine rope border runs along the upper and lower edges of the face, framing the composition from terminal to terminal. Finished with a dark oxidized patina that pools into the recesses and gives the piece a collected, old-pawn feel. One of a kind, now held in a private collection.

  • Go easy on cuffs. Avoid bending cuffs too often, as repeated flexing wears down the silver and can cause cracking or breakage. Gently molding a cuff to your wrist for the initial fit is perfectly fine.
  • Polish as needed. Oxidation occurs naturally to every piece left out in the open. A simple dry clean with a polishing cloth — or a soft handkerchief hanging around — should do the trick.
