Guarantee
Built to Last. Every piece of jewelry we make is made to last a lifetime, and it's guaranteed for the lifetime of the piece against defects in materials and workmanship. If something ever fails because of how it was made, we'll make it right — repaired or replaced.
What this applies to. The lifetime guarantee covers our jewelry. Provisions and other non-jewelry goods aren't covered by it — though everything we sell is backed by our 30-day returns.
What this covers. Manufacturing and craftsmanship defects under normal wear — a solder joint that gives way, a setting that wasn't secure, a clasp that fails on its own.
What it doesn't cover. Natural wear and patina (silver and turquoise are meant to age — that's character, not a defect; see our Jewelry Care guide). Accidental damage, misuse, or loss. Alterations or repairs made by another jeweler.
Damaged a piece? We can still help. We offer repair and restoration for damage that falls outside the guarantee — a knocked-loose stone, a bent cuff, years of hard wear. Email us and we'll quote the work.
How to make a claim. Email info@thecommon.co with your order number and a few photos of the issue. We'll take a look and sort out the best fix.
Common Questions
Yes. For as long as you own a piece, we stand behind the materials and the workmanship that went into it. If it ever fails from a defect under normal wear, we'll repair or replace it.
No — that's natural patina, and we happen to love it. Silver and turquoise are meant to age. A quick polish with a soft cloth brings back the shine (see our Jewelry Care guide). If you'd rather we refinish a piece for you, we offer that as a repair.
Most likely, yes. Accidental damage isn't covered by the guarantee, but we offer repair and restoration as a service. Email us a few photos and we'll quote the work.
If a stone loosens because of a setting defect under normal wear, that's covered — we'll secure or reset it. If it came loose from an impact, we'll repair it as a service. Either way, email us and we'll take care of it.
Many of our pieces are one-of-a-kind at a fixed size, but we can often resize or remake one to fit. Start with the Sizing guide, then email us to talk through options.
