Royston Compadre Cuff No. 3

A hand-wrought sterling silver stacking cuff set with a rectangular Royston turquoise stone, its vivid true-green face threaded with warm rust-brown matrix, placed in a smooth straight bezel. The two panels next to the stone are worked in a chasing technique drawn from traditional Southwest metalwork, with stamp work pressed into the recesses and has diagonal hatching along the borders of the channels tapering with a slight narrowing toward each terminal. Finished with a dark oxidized patina that pools into every recess and gives the piece a collected, old-pawn feel.
