A hand-wrought sterling silver ring set with a round Emerald Valley turquoise stone, its soft mint-green face with subtle golden inclusions placed in a smooth straight bezel. The wide face is flanked by large fan or shell stamps on each shoulder, with smaller starburst concho accents above and below the setting. The shank carries the stamp work further, with a traditional motif and wavy border stamps tapering down each side, all settled into a deep, aged patina that pools into the recesses and gives the ring the worn old-pawn authority.

Emerald Valley turquoise comes from the Royston Hills of Nevada, near the historic Royston mining district. The stone is known for its green color — ranging from light lime to deep forest green — with a brown to golden matrix that gives each stone a distinctive mottled or veined appearance. High-quality natural material is still available, though selectively.
