Stone Story
Campitos turquoise comes from the Pino Chueco and Cananea mines near Cananea in northern Sonora, Mexico. Active since the 1980s, Campitos is known for a clear, consistent sky blue — often compared to Sleeping Beauty turquoise in its even, open color expression. The name comes from the Spanish word for "little fields." Campitos forms as free-form nuggets in clay rather than in rock veins — a geological trait that makes the material easier to extract while preserving the stone's natural shape.
